EVERYTHINGS MEGSY | BLACK LIVES MATTER

Hey guys! I know I haven't done one of these in a long time so stick with me here. I wanted to do a video on this but due current situations I cant upload.

I wanted to post something as soon as the death of George Floyd became public but I just couldn't find the words. I think this is because I am still in disbelief that this is what the world has come to. The people who are meant to protect you from the evil in this world are the one who inflicted the evil that ended a mans life. Sadly this is becoming the "norm" in America.

For people who don't agree that being white is a privilege let me just ask you something. Do you see people cross the road when they see you walking towards them with fear in their eyes? Do you have to put your drivers license in the sun visor of your car because God forbid if you got pulled over by the police you don't want to be rummaging around in your pocket just incase they shoot you because they thought you were "reaching for a weapon"?  Do you get followed around a shopping centre because the colour of your skin makes you look suspicious? Do you have to prove yourself more and more each day to be seen as an equal to your peers? I could go on and on but hopefully by now you get where im going with this.

We are in 2020 and I still cant believe this is the shit we are having to hear about daily. Being black does no make you less on a person and being white does not put you on a higher pedestal. Everyone on this earth is born equal to one another and nobody is born a racist its the ignorant minded pigs that raise their children that way.

Im not going to sit here and say "All lives matter" because by now we know that white lives matter, its trying to convey to the world that Black is just as important, Black is beautiful, Black is powerful, Black has a voice and we are listening.

I know I will never understand your pain. I know because of the colour of my skin I will never know the fear of not being able to rely on your Government or  the  people are are meant to protect you. I know that my voice alone is not loud enough to help you.

Come on people!!!

No matter what ethnicity you are now is the time to stand up for our black family. If you have a friend, partner, teacher, colleague who is black then they deserve to hear your voice. Change like this cant be made overnight but every voice makes us heard a little louder each time we chant.

Honestly this makes me sick to my stomach that people are out there scared to walk the streets because of their colour and this isn't just happening now starting with George Floyd this happens every day. If someone wasn't recording his death would he have been "just another black man" who died in the hands of the law like hundreds of others over the years and the policeman held responsible would have carried on with his career endangering others along the way. One man didn't kill him alone, it was the other policemen who were standing around watching this happen and not doing a damn thing to help him.

Racism has been going on for hundreds of years and the fact that it hasn't gotten any better angers me to my core. Why is someone treated differently of their colour? Why does that mean they are any less of a human? - It doesn't!

This is not me saying white rights are less important but trust me white people have had enough privilege to last a life time, now its time to take the word privilege out of the equation and fight for black rights so we can make this world an EQUAL place to live in.

This is not a trend! This is not something that the American government can brush under the carpet this is a movement and we wont stop until our brothers and sisters are heard. This is not just happening to men. Its men, woman and children too and it isnt just happening in America.

I feel like I could talk about this topic forever but ill end it here. Please be kind to one another always. Race does not change who we are. Race is not our personality, Race is not how pure our soul is. We are all made to be kind to one another and to treat everyone with respect. I guess a lot of people just got raised the wrong way.

Ive linked below a video from the Brits earlier this year from a rapper called Dave. Please listen to what he is saying.
