Primark Haul & Crop Tops For Curves
Hey guys, long time no speak! A lot has gone on since we last spoke but thats a whole other blog post or video. Anyway I hope you've all been well and that you will like the new direction im going to take my blog and new youtube channel that is coming very soon! After years of struggling with self confidence I want to start writing a lot more about body positivity and even though I have a long way to come myself I feel if I can do it so can you!
So here goes, I was in Primark the other day with my sister and she was pointing out some crop tops that she thought would suit me. If Meg a few years ago was there she would be like hell no! But I thought yeah why not why cant someone with curves rock a crop top so I picked a few up and was on my way. On the way to the counter I felt quite proud of myself for actually going ahead and buying them because im sure you know if you have struggled or do struggle with body confidence no matter what shape or size you are going clothes shopping can be the most daunting thing ever.
Now this is something that ive never done before, we all know Ive had this blog for a good while now but I never posted real photos of myself because I was to afraid to but
as soon as I got home and tried the clothes on I asked my sister to take some photos so I could do a blog review so here it is.
This is the first top I got unfortunately I cant find the link online but there will still be tones in the shop and it was only £4. This was one of my favourite tops because the added detail of the lace gave you that extra cover up over the stomach if you felt you needed it. This would look so pretty with a skirt shorts or jeans like ive done here. It was super comfy and didn't show too much cleavage which is hard to find in a crop top when you have larger curves in that area if you know what I mean. Out of 10 I would rate this a 8/10 the material is quite thin which some people may not like but for me it was good especially with summer right around the corner (hopefully).
This top is a little riskier again if you have larger curves and dont like them being on show this top isn't for you. Over all id rate it a 7/10 the material is nice and thick, the straps give you that extra support because they are wider and you can tighten the front with the bow if you feel needs be. Personally I wouldn't wear this top on its own id have to have a jacket like this or a cover up but thats just because personally I dont like the top of my arms not because it doesn't look right as im sure it will look amazing on some of you.
Im still not 100% sure on this one I do really like it and this is very pretty and very summery but it takes a while to adjust the arms some times it might just be me though and my certain body type but I found the arms kept sliding up, however this didn't bother me as much and it was very comfortable and for £4 you cant complain to much. I would still recommend this top to add to your summer collection even if you just want something light and small to take on your holidays. Over all id give it a 7/10 just because of the minor adjustments you have to make throughout the day on the arms but again that might be me being picky.
I have linked the tops to the photos if you want to purchase the tops. If you do post a photo on twitter or Instagram and make sure to tag me in it so I can see what you decide to pair them with and I look forward to see them.
